I nearly did not buy this because Amazon said the print length is 58 pages and most of the books I've read of this length have been rushed or just shallow, skimming over details and unsatisfying to read. But the blurb made it sound very different from your typical shifter story, so I decided to check out the sample, and got hooked. The book was free, so I thought, why not?Very interesting to have Stephanie be both a covert operative as well as a cheetah shifter. She isn't a damsel in distress, she's a competent agent trying to do her job. When Dante shows up, she assumes he's the contact she was sent to meet, because he gives her the correct code phrase. She recognizes him as a shifter, although all she's able to tell is that he's a large type of cat, not a cheetah like her. But before he is able to pass any intel to her, shots are fired at them, all hell breaks loose and her tech operative at CIA HQ directs her to a safe house.
Unexpectedly, Dante later joins her at the safe house, but when Stephanie's tech operative informs her that they do not know who he is working for and he was not the person she was sent to meet, she isn't sure whether he can be trusted, even though her cheetah wants him...
The story was interesting, unpredictable, and didn't leave me with unanswered questions or plot holes. I was really pleased that Stephanie doesn't lose her capacity to think even though she feels overwhelmingly attracted to him. She doesn't act out of character. Dante is mysterious and delicious. You WANT him to be honorable because you want him to be the right guy for Stephanie. Shifters, characters you can root for, a little mystery, romance, and lust... what more could one ask for in a story?

This is my first time reading Nora Eli but it will not be my last. A story with romance, suspense and intrigue. A female shifter who is CIA and a lion shifter who is working for someone else. Run out and buy this one.
This a quick fun read. Mostly about their few interludes with a few bouts of them running from gunman. Great for a quick read as long as you don't expect a whole lot of details about the characters in general or what exactly they are running from or for. I was provided with an ARC in exchange for a honest review.
this is a short easy read. great for a lunch hour or when you just need something to feel the time. the book is full of humor, some sex, and very fast moving. I have not read the author before but I will in the future. I can't wait to read alex's story, hint, hint.
Loved this one! This a quick, action packed shifter romance. The sex is Hot! The characters are both strong, are hiding secrets and have loyalties to their own groups. I haven't read this author before, but it definitely won't be my last book by her. Would really like to read more in this world. Great book!
Stephanie Liuzzi was recruited by the CIA straight out of college. She's packing for her first week long island vacation in several years when she gets a call that she's needed in Venice. Sensitive information is to be handed over at a meet at a streetside cafe, but her contact, Dante Savini, is followed and Stephanie finds herself running for her life. She makes it to a safe house, but Dante shows up there, too. The secretive lion shifter won't tell her who he works for, or the particulars of their situation, but he does trigger her cheetah's heat cycle. And when their location is compromised, the two find themselves on the run together from the Italian police, with Stehanie's libido in overdrive.
This is an engaging standalone short story with an HEA. It would make a great lunch break or before bedtime read. I received a copy in return for an honest review.
I have to say this is a good book and loved that there was some suspense to it cause that is what kept me reading this story. I loved that he knew that Sarah? was his mate when he first saw her in the piazza. He won't tell her to much about himself except that they were on the same side. I hated that he left her and didn't get on the tourist boot and disappeared into the crowd before giving her the intel that he got off the died person in the canal. I liked that he did make it to the states and gave it to her , but only after the figured out what was the info and why the dr. was trying to get it to the government of the United States. The said dr. was trying to get them to bring her to the states so she could get info back to her comrads.
This was a good story. Even for a short story you got to know the characters. This author did a very good job putting everything in a short space. Strong lion alpha and strong female cheetah end up running from what she did not know but in her line of work she just knew it wasn't good. He knew what she was instantly and the rest was history. The reading was easy and enjoyable so give it a try you won't regret it!
